We’ve offered the most cost-effective seven-month program in the state since 1997 and continue to be the facility of choice for quality massage education. Our program caters to a variety of residents.
Students are expected to come to every class PREPARED. This means reading the appropriate chapters and assignments BEFORE coming to class. The instructor reserves the right to give a pop quiz at any time during the semester. Homework is due at the beginning to the 2nd day of class each week. No homework will be accepted after 12:00 (noon) for grading. If your homework is not turned in after 5 weeks, you will receive a NC (Not Complete). Tuition must be paid ON TIME per your arranged payment schedule. Students will not be allowed to take mid-term, 2nd or final exams if behind on tuition. Tuition must be PAID IN FULL to take the final exam and certificate to be issued. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
If the student is placed on academic probation for poor performance, he/she must bring his/her overall average grade to 75% within a period of no more than 30 days. The student must then maintain this level of performance thereafter. If said criteria are not met within the 30 days, the student may drop and complete the course the following semester. Tuition must be paid in full before the return date, or they cannot complete the course. If the student does not meet this standard, they will forfeit their certification and still be responsible for tuition balance.

Students that violate dress code may be asked to change into more appropriate attire or may be asked to leave-which will be considered an absence. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Grading is on a pass/fail basis. Students must pass all practical exams and complete all required muscle charts, massage logs, class project, anatomy workbook, and other related materials that may be given. Grades will be recorded on the student’s Course Record Tracking sheet. The course is graded as pass/fail at 75%.

Appropriate attire is required. No short shorts, skirts, high heels or boots. No tank tops, belly shirts, or low cut blouses. T-shirts with comfortable slacks(i.e., yoga pants) or surgical scrubs preferred. Short sleeve shirts are best. You may wear tank tops as long as they cover the shoulders and do not have spaghetti straps. Hygiene is a MUST. Deodorant is a MUST. Clean, short fingernails are required (no colored polish). Students must be clean and odor-free. Do not wear strong cologne or perfume due to potential allergies. If any student does not comply with these codes and rules, they will be subject to dismissal.

525 contact hours of instruction / 100 hours of clinical lab at school = 625 hours
The class schedule will be determined at orientation. The student will be expected to spend 4 hours of clinical lab time per week; this time can be scheduled around the student’s availability.
Upon completion of the program, the student will receive a 625-hour certification and be eligible to apply for Licensure in the State of Michigan with training in:
150-hour course completion in 14 weeks

100 contact hours of instruction / 30 clinic hours/20 hours of menu design

A wonderfully warm and relaxing massage treatment. In this workshop, you will learn special techniques using warm, basalt lava stones. We emphasize the experiential and practical relationship of hot stone with Swedish massage movements.
A natural approach to rejuvenating the skin & toning the muscles of the face through specific massage techniques & lymphatic drain movements. In this workshop, you will learn the art of facial shiatsu (acupressure), facial muscle toning, and thermo-aromatherapy. This process increases circulation, removes toxins, brings nutrients and hydration to the skin while relaxing facial muscles, relieving stress, resulting in a fresh, happy face.
A face massage treatment using cool aquamarine stones and warm basalt stones to relax and tone the muscles of the face and neck and decolletage.
Seaweed Detox Body Wrap Massage – A unique intro to combining massage with marine wrap procedures. Includes dry brush body massage and lymphatic drain techniques in conjunction with application of sea weed gel and thermo-wrap. A useful technique for students interested in a spa career.
Go beyond the basics of reflexology taught in the beginning 600 course. Learn to use tools and strokes geared towards specific ailments using reflexology. Hands, feet, and face reflexology taught during this workshop.

Come in for a romantic night away from the hustle of the day and other distractions, and let our instructors at Flint School of Therapeutic Massage teach you simple stress relievers for the two of you.
A fun class introducing the basic yoga postures & sun salutation to help increase flexibility, tone, & relaxation. Great for massage therapists to gain balance & breath. Work at your own ability level with guidance & assistance.
